People need to stop talking about 3 wins last year like that's a comparable reality (I'm not meaning to pick on you--travman). In my book, 5 wins this year is equal to last year because I'm giving us a bye on Kent State and UNI. We got 2 conference wins last year. We lost some people--we gained some people. 2 conference wins this year would be . . . the same. No improvement. So 3 non-conference wins is . . . what? Technically it's better than 1, sure--but I'm not going to buy into that. Last year's team that won 2 conference games would not have lost those 2 non-conference games.
So last year we improved dramatically over the season. Realistically, I think 5 wins this year is equal to last year's team at the end of the season. Sure that means I'm hoping for 6 wins this year. I'm not going on a witch hunt if we don't get it--I'm just saying that I don't believe 5 wins is any REAL improvement over the END of last season.
