ISU is no better than "on par" with Iowa (scoreboard notwithstanding).
Basically, it's best to let the people involved hash out their arguments. It's June and they need something to talk about.
I would certainly never stop anybody from doing so, I don't have the power to do it if I wanted to. Just throwing my opinion out there in hopes of saving somebody's sanity.
I fully understand there are some fans for all teams that fit my description, I grew up in the Omaha area surrounded by Husker fans (I actually enjoy most Husker fans outside of the Eastern NE / Western IA region). My experience has shown that Hawk fans, as a group, are on the far end of the bell curve. They can't seem to fathom that their university and it's sports teams aren't the greatest thing in the history of humanity. I spent two years at UI for grad school and would love to cheer for the Hawks, can't do it though. I can however admit when they beat
ISU that they were the better team..........
