I think what Dodd is missing (because he obviously hasn't done any research because he's not a journalist) is that to many of the jihadists like me the bowls we went to and mostly lost were crappy bowls and somewhat pointless. For the fanatics (like me), ten years without a bowl is the same as tens years going to crappy ones which is why I'm giving Gene plenty of time to get his program in order. If after ten years we've gone to zero bowls it's no worse than going to a string of .com and Idaho bowls.
Also, as many have pointed out K-State was abysmal before Bill Snyder. In an age where App St. beats Michigan, or Navy beats Notre Dame it's simply ignorant in the truest sense of that word to make a statement like Dodd made about ANY program.
