Re: Pollard to Indiana?

my first response..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

however, being a realist, we can't avoid the fact that this is going to happen every time a post comes open at another major university. I hate to stir the pot of Big 12 vs. Big 11, but Indiana is in the Big 11, which has a tv network, a much larger population density, and huge alumni bases. If I'm not mistaken, IU has pretty good non-revenue sports success along with a long-standing basketball tradition that is in the company of UNC, KU, Duke, and UCLA. It's not like people in Indiana don't like football (see: Notre Dame, Purdue, the Colts)... they haven't had the leadership at IU to generate the excitement... JP is a man who could probably do it.

hey, for old time sake, anyone remember during the '02 season when ISU was sky high in Sept./Oct. and DMac was actually being mentioned for the Mich. St. job?

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Thomas Jefferson, 1802
