I think what some people may have been implying is not just salary but Atheltic Department budget... IU alums are fanatical and I believe they are more willing to donate money, and at higher amounts.

It is true that their football hasn't been anything to brag about, but I remember when they had Randle El, they weren't bad, and didn't they make a bowl game in the past couple of years? I think they went 7-5 last year.

IU still recruits good basketball players. They just need a stable coach who isn't a sleeze.

As far as football goes, bloomington has 70,000 people, the school has 40,000 students. All someone needs to do there is bring excitement to the program.

I hope Pollard doesn't leave because I like they guy. Some people don't, but he's really good about answering e-mails and he's also willing to give time to talk to people.

I also think he's doing an awesome job here at ISU of course. He's trying to change the sports culture here, and I think it's challenging, but really great for a sports fan.
