Staiger Promoted To A2 German National Team

AMES, Iowa- Iowa State sophomore basketball player Lucca Staiger will join Germany’s A2 National Basketball team following his competition in the FIBA U20 European Championship, which is taking place from Aug. 1-10 in Targu Mures, Romania.

Staiger will fly back to Germany on Aug. 11 to begin practice with the national team for two weeks before heading back to Ames. The A2 team is not the squad competing in the Olympics, but Staiger will get a chance to play an exhibition game against the German A1 national team, which consists of NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki and many other top international players.

Full Story

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
