Lolo would have gotten a month or whatever too if she had won the gold and/or if she didn't have obligations in Europe that kept her from the "coming home" ceremony. Believe me Keith Murphy would have made sure she was honored just as much as Shawn even without the medals. It is awesome that she made it to the Olympics.
Also, Cael isn't from Iowa originally. He went to ISU, but did not grow up in Iowa. That is different. The university used his image to promote promote promote if that makes you happy. All good points.
