ISU recruit was quoted as being told by Coach Chizik that he plans to run a wide open offense with 4 and 5 wideout sets. A tough in your face defense with a wide open offense sounds like fun football to me. Quickest fix for an undermanned offensive line is to pass the ball a lot. I thought we should have opened it up the past two years with what we had, but no go. The new face of Iowa State Football....wide open. Will it work?
Gonna be fun to watch that sorta offense in november with a 30mph wind. In the short run, it might work, but in the long run, with the weather we have, we need to be able to pound the ball. But a run and gun offense sounds fun to watch.
