Kind of adds an interesting dynamic to the talk of the old Hilton Magic of the 80's. Just looking quickly, I couldn't find a year where a JO coached team won more than 2 conference road games (out of 7 in a Big 8 schedule). And several times they never lost at Hilton the whole season. So as much as that proves it was a great home-court advantage, I think part of the reason it is remembered so fondly is we often struggled badly on the road. His two best conference records were 9-5 (H: 7-0, A: 2-5) in 85-86 and 8-6 (H: 7-0, A: 1-6) in 92-93.
Also, I'm sometimes amazed how little credit WM got for the amazing 7 game run he put together beating 3 ranked teams. Unfortunately, there just weren't enough other games like those seven.
