do most of you guys expect better line play from the guys that are being brought in, or do you expect better results because the coaches will have plays schemed for poor OL play?
I went to the KS game last year, and it amazed me that the Clone offense was so easy to defend. Kansas just waited for Meyer to set up in the shotgun, moved the DEs a step to the outside and boom, their guys were in the backfield untouched faster than the ball. The
ISU offensive tackles were never a factor in the game. I am far from an OC, but it drove me nuts to watch this play after play, thinking, there has to be something different they can do.
hopefully it will be a little of both improved line play and improved play calling. I would like to see some 3 step drop passes and quick hitting running plays. Something to make LBers and DEs at least think about pass coverage.
