For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure that TF had two seasons in the Big 12, not just one.
Anyway, I remember seeing an interesting stat once on ESPN on coaching stability and how important it is for a program to have one coach for a long time in order to be a good program.
I did some thinking and writing, and including Johnny Orr's last season in 1993-94,
ISU has had FIVE head coaches in THIRTEEN YEARS. The only other BCS school I can think of that might have that type of turnover is Illinois, or maybe Baylor. But 5 coaches in 13 years is an astonishing ratio to me. No wonder we haven't been able to build any kind of stability in our program.
I just hope that if next year turns out to be a struggle that
JP doesn't get trigger happy again and brings in our sixth coach in 15 years. I don't think that will happen, but you never know.
