Iowa has an athletic support staff cost of $9,000,000 where as
ISU is $4,900,000. Do you suppose some of that $4,100,000 difference is spent by people working on recruiting.
One other thing about the report really stands out. Iowa spends $4,995,000 on team travel (all sports).
ISU spends $1,618,000. We have approxomately the same number of teams and the same travel distances. I guess they must really go first class.
Obviously it is the lack of a Clone baseball team that makes the difference. How can they spend $5.0M travelling (Alamo Bowl?) when the coaches only have a $50 per diem. I did not know you can get a room for $50 in some towns.
Someone must be cooking the
EIU books. How much do all those Lexuses cost that Alford rear ended. Or were those freebies?
