You wake up tomorrow and the Iowa State Cyclones don't exist. In fact, you have no memory of
ISU, unfortunately. Poof, it's all gone.
I know...I know...take a deep breath if you need it - it's a tough pill to swallow.
Yet the one thing you do know, when you wake up it's your task for that day to pick a college athletic program to become an avid fan for - through thick and thin. Proximity to you is of no concern, so you're not "forced" to choose or not choose a program based on distance from its campus.
Also gone from your memory is any past knowledge of all college football programs. You'll no longer remember you hate the Huskers for their beat-downs of
ISU. You won't recall Hampton upset
ISU in the NCAA tournament. And yes, your hatred toward Iowa wouldn't exist in your memory banks, as much as you want it to. Any knowledge you want about a collegiate program would need to be researched by yourself and you'd be unaware of your previous bias for/against any programs.
So what program would you choose? What factors would go into your decision?
This should be a fun,
hypothetical discussion.
