RIP, Barry...
Way too young...
I've seen many Cyclone hoopsters and Barry was and always will be my favorite. As somebody else noted, Barry was the first significant Orr recruit and he almost single-handedly delivered Jeff Grayer, Gary Thompkins, etc.
My freshman year (Barry's sophomore),
ISU played a double-overtime thriller against Minnesota, which featured Trent Tucker and Randy Breuer. I will always believe that was the turning-point for the Orr program and Barry was unconscious from the deep left corner that evening.
I had always hoped that Barry could return to
ISU in some capacity; I know he and Grayer checked into the possibility before Wayne's hiring...
