After the dust has settled some, can we confidently state the recruiting process for 2007 has come to an end? Well, lets just say that right now it appears to be over, BUT we know how quickly things can change at Iowa State:)

Now that we know who the players are by name, let's take a look at what they bring to the team...

Charles Boozer
SG 6-3/195
Tarzana, CA - Stoneridge Prep
Recruited By: T.J. Otzelberger
Competition: Lamar & Pepperdine
Overview: Great jump-shooter, good range, above average ball-handling and aggressive. Plays pretty well under control. Needs to stay focused and shoot free throws consistently.

Craig Brackins
PF 6-10/220
Wolfeboro, NH - Brewster Academy (ISU East)
Recruited By: T.J. Otzelberger
Competition: Pitt, Indiana, Mich. State, Illinois, Clemson
Overview: Good hook and jump-shots, plays bigger than he really is, good range for size and very determined. Needs to gain some weight and not get pushed around. All American potential.

Marcus Brister
PG 6-2/210
Duncanville, TX - God's Academy
Recruited By: Jean Prioleau
Competition: Texas Tech, Nebraska, Texas A&M, La. Tech, Cincinnati, Southern U.
Overview: Very physical and aggressive driving to the rim, good ball-handler and self-motivated. Needs to work on the outside shot and get a bit more range. Great defender that should contribute quite a bit on both ends of the court.

Diante Garrett
PG 6-4/175
Milwaukee, WI - Vincent
Recruited By: T.J. Otzelberger
Competition: UNLV, Clemson, Virginia, Wisconsin GB.
Overview: Growing fast and learning even faster. Has a lot of basketball knowledge and is working hard to be ready to go from day one in Ames. Will most likely end up playing the wing quite a bit and has a lot of potential when mixed in with a good ball-handler. Needs to keep working on muscle development as he continues to grow. Look for Garrett to contribute quality minutes right away.

Lucca Staiger
SG 6-5/210
Decatur, IL - Christian
Recruited By: Jeff Rutter
Competition: Kansas State, Illinois, Iowa, Washington St.
Overview: Great basketball IQ, disciplined player and an incredible sharp-shooter from any range. Increasingly potent on the defensive end and continues to work on his English. Staiger has only been in the States for a short while having grown up in Germany.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
