I agree. I'm really surprised that they made it this far. I think the Packer's secondary is too strong, especially without Shockey, for Eli to come through. The Packer's have dominated almost every opponent in their wins this year.
I'm not saying the Giants don't have a chance - but they should not have won last week. I'm certainly not bitter, I just know when a team gives one away.
Tack on 10 and 8 minute drives on that Giant defense - I'm sure Favre, Grant and the Packer offense are just licking their chops. I feel confident that the Pack will be hungry for this game (as they were last week), disciplined and won't be foolish in their game-planning (like they were when they played Dallas in November).
I just bet $110,000 on this game. Good thing it's not real or I would be crapping my pants. Since I am a pack fan I probably will be crapping my pants anyways.
I have mixed feelings on the GMen. They play really well at times but little Manning is about as streaky as a 4-year old's drawers and he's going to have to have a complete performance to keep NY in the game. They have a chance if they can force Favre to make mistakes like he's been known to do but with everything they've overcome thus far, I just don't see how the Packers give this one up at home.
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

I dunno - the Giants seemed to survive a 20-play drive against the Cowboys pretty well. Whether that had to do with being at the end of the half or not, I don't know.
Attempt #3
The ongoing story of the persistent attempts to get to the other side.
They "survived" it based on Dallas giving them great field position and a 15 yards via penalty to setup a score just before the half. Then, to further the Giant momentum and belief they can win - the Cowboys squandered an 8 minut drive by merely getting 3 points on what should have been a sure touchdown.

I don't see the Packers lacking such discipline.
I'm glad that you're finally moving on...
Actually, it's funny, because you can at least talk about it. One of my best friends down here, he won't even talk about the game, he's still so burned by it.

Like I said, I'm not bitter. I just know how that game went and the help that a good, but not great, Giants team got.
I've seen the Giants play 3 time this year in entirety and have watched parts of at least 3 or 4 other games they've played in.
They can be scored upon without a ton of trouble - especially if your offensive line plays well - Packers do that pretty well - especially as of late.
You can run on the Giants - especially with their injuries in the secondary - Grant has proven to be no slouch. Their weakened secondary can only cover so long - Favre knows how to buy time and find the open guy.
Eli is the intangible in this game. I don't see the Giants running the ball nearly as well as they did against Dallas. Eli has been very good in the last month and in the playoffs. He's throwing for over 70% completion in 2 playoff games and no picks. During the season as a whole he averaged somewhere in the 50s in completion percentage.
If Eli continues to play like he has recently, the Giants have a chance - but I still can't see them beating the Pack...without some help. More good special teams play from the Giants will be needed if they want to win this one.
