Re: Twins at Royals

I'm offended as a Twins fan that the Royals are favored.

Re: Twins at Royals

Livan Hernandex (Twin's best pitcher until Liriano is ready) is throwing for the Twins.

I really hope your joking, a guy with an ERA with almost 5 the past two years, in the NL, is not the Twins best pitcher. Yes he's had a couple of nice starts, so did Ramon Ortiz last year and if your a Twins fan you know how that ended up. Baker would be higher and probably Bonser.

Re: Twins at Royals

I'm not joking at all. As of NOW, he's doing the best. He'll give you 6-7 innings each outing. I agree it may change down the line, but right now he's getting wins and pitching a lot of innings. Baker has a couple of wins, but had help from good hitting.

I refuse to judge on luck, he was subpar last year and blew chunks in Spring Training(I had the privilage to watch two of his bad starts). Going from such short range stuff, last year Johan Santana was the Twins worst pitcher in April, but if the playoffs had begun then there's no question i would have sent him out for game 1.

Re: Twins at Royals

Well that's your opinion. I personally think right now he's doing the best. I could care less who is the best as long as they win.

Re: Twins at Royals

I'm a Royals fan and I don't see how the Royals lose this game. Gil Meche has struggled early, but he's a much better pitcher than Livan. Assuming the Royals can score 4 or 5 runs I think they cover my large bet.

This is a key start for Hernandez. The weather conditions will be more of a challenge than his first two starts in the dome. The other challenge will be if he can baffle Royal hitters twice in a week with his 60 some MPH Bugs Bunny Curve. It may still be effective against younger hitters, but one would assume that veterans will eventually figure him out.

Re: Twins at Royals

Livan beat the Royals already, so at least he has that going for him. Should be a good game.

Re: Twins at Royals

Twins up 5-0 in the ninth. Livan scatters 7 hits in 7 innings. Pretty much his type of game. A poor mans Radke? Radke rarely gave up a big inning but you could pretty much chalk up a solo home run or two every game.

Re: Twins at Royals

Or welcome to .750 against the Royals?

3 out of 4 for the Twins against KC, the current class of the central? Feels weird to say that.
