This will close on Tuesday afternoon, as they could sign him before the draft.

Part of it has to do with the fact Beasley is shrinking at an incredible rate.

KState had him at 6-10. He's just a tick over 6-8 with shoes.

Gonna bet on Beasley I guess. I really do not see how you can not pick him. He was by far the best player this year, it was not even close.

You can pick someone other than Beasley because :

-PG has a bigger impact on the NBA game
-The Bulls have very good memories of the last time they drafted an undersized (and he was bigger than Beasley) PF who led the Big XII in scoring and rebounding
-There are character issues surrounding Beasley
-You want a leader with the number one overall pick

Keep in mind that the Bulls are making the #1 pick. They hired Vinny Del Negro (read Who?) as their head coach.

Nothing would shock me.

Have you seen how a player like CP3 or Deron Williams can change a game? A PG is A LOT more valuable to a team than a PF. Thats why the Bulls will and should take Rose over Beasley.

Exactly. When was the last time a PF led his team to a championship? Only argument that can be made is Tim Duncan, but they have a great PG in Parker.

I think the main concern with Beasley that I have heard is his willingness to practice and get better. There is no doubt he is a great talent but I have heard him compared to Melo in regards to his attitude.

Plus Rose is from Chicago, you gotta go with the hometown kid.
