If JS keeps pitching like that I don't see him going back down to Iowa when Wood comes off the DL. In fact I think Marquis has to worry about him or Gaudin taking his spot in the rotation in the near future if he falls into his annual post all-star game funk like he has the past 3 years.

Agree, Travman. I like what I'm seeing thus far out of Samardzija. It is a tough call on who to send down right now. Marquis seems to be falling apart right on cue, yet again. Will definitely be a decision to be made when Wood is ready to come back...
