Is UNI better than KU?

NDSU head coach:
"I think the environment that we're going to play in Cedar Falls is going to be much more of a hostile environment than Memorial Stadium in Kansas. That was pretty docile," North Dakota State coach Craig Bohl said. "And the type of team that we're going to be playing is going to be a much more physical, aggressive football team than KU. And quite frankly I think we're going to be playing a better opponent. I know one school is in the Big 12 and the other one is in the Missouri Valley. I think that gives an indication on how we see Missouri Valley play and the respect we give Northern Iowa."

To bad a lot of the students are going to be gone in Iowa City.

Might be a little bias there trying to build up the MVC but its also very possible that UNI is as good or better than KU.. Like the previous poster said though, lots of people from around the state are going to be more focused on the game in IC so he might not see as hostile environment as he is expecting.

It's a different UNI team this year. Almost entirely new team on offense, and more newcomers on defense. Probably safe to say the talent level is OK, but gobs of inexperience.

No. If they played 10 times KU would win more than 5. Last year in basketball KU would have won 9 out 10 but the beauty of a single elimination tournament is that sometimes you get that one.

Thats a lot of coachspeak from Bohl, not to mention a former Husker taking a shot at KU.

UNI FB teams from '05-'09 probably are better than that KU team this year. This year, who knows. UNI has a really young team this year, and I don't think anybody really knows how good they are.

But the teams we have had in the last several years have been really good, and we have had some really great talent come through here. NDSU is a middle of the pack FCS team and they beat KU, so there is no doubt in my mind that UNI could easily do the same.
