Big 12 offense
It seemed like the last 2 or 3 years the Big 12 was comprised of offensive juggernauts that were throwing the ball all over the place and putting up huge numbers but this year (so far) the conferece seems to have more of a defense/run game theme to it. Why? Is it personel turnover? Coaching changes? or just the defenses catching up to what the offenses are doing? And will it effect the identity that conferences in the future? I can see the teams in the north not being able to compete with OU/UT in a "smashmouth" type of league.

I think part of it has to do with Big XII teams losing some great QBs. Colt McCoy, Todd Reesing, Sam Bradford, etc...
