I think your right on the money Wesley, the Landmark Exit Texas game turned into a nightmare. A nightmare of nebraska's own making, by putting so much emphasis on the Texas game you put your team in an untenable situation if you LOSE!!!

btw I'm picking big red 2-LOSE TO OKIE STATE!!!!!!!

I'm pulling hard for Mizzou to beat Oklahoma this weekend. I'd love for nebraska to be left out of the Big 12 championship game again this season.

I wouldnt get too excited. Every year when Mizzou gets "really good" they still never have the horses to compete with OU/UT which really makes you realize just how far we(ISU) have to go.

I am not Mr. Sportsmanship, but you definitely should only yell that stuff at opposing players.
"For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived, and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

There were celebrations at bars in Omaha the day that Steve Pedersen got canned, and most of their fans were outright giddy when Callahan got the axe. Nothing like celebrating people losing their jobs. Classy all the way around.

But I danced around my house for days when Greg "the torpedo" McDermott left ISU. I know he took another job but I would have done the same if he had been fired. Does that make me an unclassy ISU fan. Lots danced the day Dmac "resigned", it happens in all fanbases.

I was giddy when the Macs left ISU. No apologies here.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

Know what the difference is between dogging on players and dogging on a coach? This.

Nice title for that article by the way, I'm sure there was no pun intended at all.
This is one of the biggest myths in sports. Definately one of the most passionate fanbases but one of the most classless as well. I've lived in Husker country my entire life and what happened to this kid doesn't surprise me at all.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.

Spot on. As a Husker fan, i'm embarrased by the conduct of Husker fans following Saturday's loss to Texas. Seems like many forgot this line of the Husker football pregame prayer following Saturday's game:

And if we lose, Let us stand by the road And cheer as the winners go by.
Next time Niles, instead of saying to the media that you want to have the ball thrown your way more often (which he said two or three weeks ago), he should just keep his mouth shut and say to himself "the ball is my friend", "the ball is my friend".
