I suggest you go wearing a red shirt, no team logo on it. You won't be able to wash the stink of NU off of yourself, even with gasoline, if you wear their clothing.

For heaven sakes don't go buying Fusker wear to add to their athletic budget. I have a Fusker b2b Nat Champs sweatshirt that was given to me as a gag gift when I left that armpit also known as Stinkin' Lincoln. You can wear it as long as you don't give it back.
Seriously, if interested PM me.
huskers without a doubt. and i hate the huskers. i just dislike hawk fans way more than any fan base in america.
Is there a way they can both lose?
Both fan bases explode?
Easy.....Nebraska. The fans are very similar (DBags), but at least Neb has been to the top of the mountain multiple times and is one of the best football programs in history. They get my respect because of that, which allows me to just snicker and take their douchbaggery.
Iowa fans act like this while accomplishing NOTHING. They will NEVER win a national title and will never consistently be considered a national program. They are a regional program that has sporadic years with good team like this year (but still not top 10) - yet they think they should be considered a national program and because of this get laughed at by most other college football fans. This douchebaggery is far greater than anything Neb fans can dish out.
The majority of iowa fans are uneducated tavern hawks that jump on the bandwagon when they want. I hope Neb kills them each year, and it will probably happen around 70% of the time.
No decent human being would ever root for Nebraska. Hawk fans are like minor league dbaggers compared to the Husker fans, although they are catching up. Western Iowa is full of bandwagon Hawk fans that were Husker fans in the 90's but have jumped ship the last 5 years. Hopefully their heads explode from the yearly decision of which bandwagon to jump on.
Ill look at it this way in a Iowa State frame of mind.
ISU wont be playing nebraska anymore so fans rubbing that win in my face is out.
ISU will still face Iowa every year so Iowa rans rubbin in a win would still be a factor there.
Neither team has anything to do with the big12-2 anymore.
Both teams have the potential to take top Iowa Recruts away from the ISU program.
Nebraska has played ISU for 105 years. And during that time has never said, lets drop the teams that dont win often so we can strenghten our schedule.
I think you will find alot more nebraska fans respecting isu fans then iowa due to the big 8 of old. And simply due to the fact that winning at jack trice is never a given.
Even though Nebraska fans can be annoying and probally more thick headed. I probally would enjoy the fact that i could make fun of the Iowa fan base after they lost to nebraska.
This is where I'm counting on NU to dominate Iowa, meaning never lose. Pellini could do to Iowa what Fry did to ISU; make them a non-issue in in-state recruiting. Then, hopefully (with ISU's improvement ) we'll begin to get top in-state kids who want to play in the B12 and who aren't being recruited by NU. To me it's really a no brainer; what's best for ISU is NU eliminating any hope of Iowa playing in a B10 championship game.
OK, after reading everyones theory on who we should want to win, I have come to this conclusion. Go for Iowa to lose. We don't need to cheer for Nebraska to win, but cheer for Iowa to lose.
I won't feel as dirty, and it will help me sleep at night
Cant they both just lose? haha
completely depends for me. I was thinking Nebraska originally. However, as I think about it more....I would cheer for Iowa as long as they aren't having a great season already. I don't like to see the Iowa fanbase after great seasons where they win the big 10 or even worse if they made the national title game. So, I will cheer for Nebraska during seasons when Iowa needs a loss, and Iowa any other time.
