Doesnt work that way. He would have to go 1AA to play next year.

Normally if you transfer in conference you lose your redshirt year as a year of eligibility, but Martinez redshirted last year so he would only have two left if he transferred.

Got a couple buddies in Lincoln this thing has some major legs.....WOW....and its his dad that wants him to leave.

Based on what I've seen from Pelini, I'm waiting for the whole team to go Varsity Blues on him and take the field with an injured Taylor Martinez playing the role of Lance Harbor, coaching the team.

Wonder if he would consider ISU if this is true. I am sure a lot of programs are going to go after him.

Would we want him even due to his dad? This sounds a lot like Philips Bates. I am for getting any talent that we can get, but this sounds like some baggage is attached to it. IF it was even a possibility.

Agreed. Pilini likely was out of line, but this says a lot about the player/dad too (if true).

At Iowa State, like in basketball, you have to take some chances. So if that means take some players with baggage attached, I'm all for it.
