Nebraska left because Texas wouldnt guarantee *they* would stay and do what was necessary for a big 12 network. Nebraska had a big 10 offer, and if Texas wouldnt guarantee they would stay, nebraska had to take it, lest they be left by texas and then stuck in the big 12 without the south and a big 10 offer.
Neither school wanted to commit to the conference. Both schools had options open. It was like two teenagers dating saying to the other to hang up first but not hanging up.
I hate Nebraska more because they actually did leave and created a couple days of complete panic for us. Texas saved us and I am thankful for that, regardless if it makes them richer.
