    A&M @ Texas

    Should be entertaining.

On a side note, why is the Texas band allowed to ring cowbells? Aren't there regulations as far as bands making noise during action with artificial noisemakers? Or am I making that up?

Really, it shouldn't be much of a game. A&M should roll.

I noticed they stop ringing soon after the center touches the ball then start up again after the snap. Seems like most anything goes in the Texas Showdown game.

For any of us that were in Austin, those cowbells are annoying as ****.

Still kicking myself for not buying a ticket to our game and making the short drive up to Austin. I'm a bad fan.

This is a do or die game for Texas. They lose, they're not going bowling and Mack Brown has to call the moving company to move up his appointment. I would expect Texas to pull out all the stops for this one.

So you don't think they've been trying for the rest of their losses? They're just flat out not very good.

From the games that I've watched, they at times didn't seem like they were trying too hard. They have the athletes to compete with anyone in the conference. They are lacking senior leadership and a killer attitude. The Baylor game looked as though they were just going through the motions.

In the words of Mr. Hank Hill, "Longhorns."

Come on A$M, get this done. It would be great to see the program that tried to strong-arm its way out of the conference not qualify for a bowl game the year after getting to the NC game.

I wonder if a team has ever done that? Go from the title game to no bowl the next year?

I highly doubt it has ever happened in the modern bowl era (where there are now around 30 bowl games). It may have happened back when it really meant something to get to a bowl game.
