This. The Big 10 hasn't been above average for quite a few years. Michigan isn't the Michigan of old, either is Penn St. Don't be fooled by their jersey's, the players inside are very, very average.

I imagine that there won't be tons of fireworks in Lincoln. Iowa fans will be treated well, just like all opponents are in Lincoln. Say what you want about their fans, and there ARE a lot of idiot Husker fans, they are more than cordial in Lincoln. At least they have been in my trips there (their bad fans aren't the ones who go to games). BUT, the return trip to IC will be crazy. I'd love to go just to see those Husker fans who thought they were treated badly in Boulder or Columbia find out just how bad an opposing fanbase can treat visitors. The first time a full beer can gets tossed at some dude for wearing a red shirt, the expression will be priceless. Of course, maybe it will take some time for them to work up the hatred that they have for us.
I'm really not going to miss these guys much. Can't see how having them gone is really going to hurt ISU in any way.
Really wonder how well their fan base will travel East of the Mississippi. The Big 12 made a lot more sense for them geographically.
Hey Wignuts how many times did kNU beat South team? You should have included that stat.
Losing that game also insured that NU will be paying the full amount of their buy-out. A win would've saved NU $495,000.
Did anyone else find themselves rooting for OU in that game last night?? I did just out of principal of them trying to cause the chaotic demise of the Big 12..... Go Away Big Red!!!!
I can't wait for the conspiracy theory talk from their fan-base to stop.....
I hate to see a storied program like that leave the conference.
the gave us in the north a national identity.
Does anybody really care, UNIGuy. Who cares if Texas and Texas A & M beat Nebraska this year. Their players watched last night's game in front of a television set, while Nebraska's players participated in the game. Who cares if Texas Tech beat Nebraska last year. Their players watched the Big 12 Championship game a year ago in front of a television set, while Nebraska's players participated in the game.
It's kind of like, who cares if Iowa State beat Nebraska last year, Iowa State's players watched the Big 12 Championship game in front of a television set, while Nebraska's players participated in the game.
Go ahead, Cyclone Fanatics, continue to spew your hatred for Nebraska. While Nebraska once again became one of the top teams in the Big 12 Conference under Bo Pellini's guidance, Iowa State has tied for the worst record in the Big 12 (with Kansas and Colorado) during that same period of time.
While you are spewing your hatred for Nebraska, nobody in Husker Nation will really care. It is a whole lot more fun following your team as it prepares for yet another bowl game, while the Cyclone naysayers sit at home and wish they had a bowl game to prepare for.
If you can't beat 'em, leave 'em
This. The people who think Nebraska is in for this huge reality check when they go to the big bad Big Ten are clueless. NU can play physical football with anyone. That's their style, they'll fit right in. You honestly think teams like Iowa are going to push them around? Please
