I heard his dad was involved and Josh didn't know about it.

Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd -

Martin is losing that team in a big time hurry. I don't understand why recruits would want to play for that maniac?

Re: KSU's Pullen, Kelly suspended for 3 games
I admire what Frank Martin has done in terms of winning at KSU. But remember... this is a man who is banned from Florida High Scholl athletics for cheating.
He was recruiting players outside their district and using teacher's ( and janitor's) home addresses to enroll them.
My prediction is his coaching career will be severly tainted by scandal at some point in his career.

Perfectly fine with me if KSU goes down and we go up. I remember the days when KSU basketball was awful. They will become a bottom dweller again.

I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads -

Doesn't Martin pretty much get a lot of guys out of the DC area? Doesn't he have some high priced assistant that gets these guys from AAU ties? Sooner or later something will come up from that I bet too.

Hmm....

Martin and Delonte Hill came in with Huggy to KState. When Huggy left, Martin was retained mostly to keep their all star recruiting class happy.
Delonte is the recruiter and Martin is the coach. KState pays HUGE money to Delonte Hill to keep him on as a recruiter. Last year he got a new contract worth $250,000 with incentive bonuses that could push it to over $500,000. As long as he continues to bring in the recruits, Martin will be successful.
Interesting side note. Hill was an assistant to Bobby Lutz at Charlotte before Huggy lured him away with a big assistant contract. Why did Huggy want him so bad?? Because as soon as Hill signed with KState, Beasley decommited from Charlotte and committed to KState.
The Widcats are either really smart and are setting a new model for coaching pay scales or some of that money being paid to Hill is getting funneled to the players (or both). The jury is still out on that.

It seems like there is a thread every basketball season about how KSU cheats in recruiting. I can assure you, we haven't, and we aren't
