If anyone is cheating in the Big 12, it's Baylor. Maybe even KU.

No one here directly accused K-State of cheating in the recruiting game. One person said in one sentence it was a possibility.

This thread is in fact about how a couple of K-State players got suspended for accepting illegal benefits.

It's very ironic you are trying to claim a program is squeaky clean when some players got suspended. It's also interesting you are all over the "clean recruiting" subject when that really has barely been brought up here.

I would not expect you to understand this, as I know English is a 3rd language down there in the land of barbaric fools.

Now go run along and **** in a towel or something...

Everyone cheats. I wish people would get off their moral high horse. It's a game of covering things up and doing things 'in the gray.'

Did I ever claim that KSU was a squeaky clena program? The cheating in recruiting was brought up by multiple posters, so I decided to give my two cents worth. I'm just tired of people thinking that we have or may have cheated, when there is no real evidence.

Quite a few K-Staters I know always make comments like, "I'm surprised we didn't get caught with Beasley," and stuff like that, as though it is generally implied that there was a lot of money funneled Beasley's way during his year in Manhattan. Not going to say its true or proven, but its something I hear a lot. The guy had 4 cell phones for heavens sake!! Plus, anyone who goes from bad basketball to good basketball is automatically under a microscope... just the way it is.

Ron Prince may have said it but Frank Martin lives it. "If the other coaches (and their fans) in the Big 12 are NOT angry with me, then I am NOT doing my job." Reading this thread in Cyclone Fanatic assures me that Frank Martin is doing his job.

To the one fool on here that made the statement that Frank Martin was banned from Florida high schools, have you considered doing a little research--even if on Google? Martin has never been banned from coaching in Florida high schools.

New Kansas State Coach Frank Martin's Unethical History -- NCAABB FanHouse

Miami High was fined $2500 and forced to reimburse more than $5000 in expenses incurred during the FHSAA's investigation. Five players, including [Udonis] Haslem, were barred from ever playing for Miami High again. The school was required to return the 1998 state championship trophy. Head coach Frank Martin (lauded in the Herald article) was fired, along with the school's athletic director.
"This is one of the most, if not the most, blatant violations of FHSAA rules against recruiting that I have encountered in my seven years as commissioner of this association," said Ron Davis when he handed down the penalties in August 1998.

I did not say Martin was white as snow. The recruiting thing had been going on at Miami High years before he became the head coach. Outstanding players flocked to Miami High because they wanted to play for a winner. True, Martin did nothing to check of the residence of his players. I said that Martin had never been banned from coaching in Florida high schools. In fact, he coached at another Miami high school the very next year after being fired at Miami High.
