Kansas State is enjoying their win over KU

Let's get this out of the way first - As a KU fan, I like making fun of KSU. So, of course, this may be biased.

However, I think the pre-season Big 12 favorite is going a little overboard over a single home conference win.

First, we have the court rush. Snobbier fans than I may have a problem with the court rush, but I get it. It's a rival that you've beat only once in the 25 year history of Bramlage, that rival is ranked #1 in the country, the win has a chance to spark a season revival, and rushing the court is fun. I get it.

But anything more than rushing the court, in my opinion, is a little excessive for a conference home win by the preseason conference favorite. Here we go:

The KSU players jumped up on the scorer's table so everyone in attendance could admire them and their home conference victory over a team picked lower than them in the preseason. Well, maybe they've never heard the phrase, "Act like you've been there before."

Then, the next day, excited KSU fans were able to go on the KSU athletics website and purchase the Instant Wildcat Classic DVD - featuring Powercat Vision (your guess is as good as mine) - for the low price of $19.95 plus shipping and handling.

A DVD! This must have been a big conference home win! "Surely, they won't embarrass themselves any more," I thought, after seeing the DVD. I was wrong.

Next, they decided to print a t-shirt. Why wouldn't the preseason conference favorite print a t-shirt for a single conference home win?

Are they done? Not without putting the icing on the cake. So they cut the nets down at Bramlage, and decided to sell them for this historic conference home win.

Usually teams will cut down nets win they win a conference championship, advance to the Final Four, or win a NCAA (or even an NIT) title. Not for a conference home win which propelled them up to 8th place in the Big 12. Beating KU must be a big deal. Or they don't care how embarrassing this looks, and they really need the money. Are there any other explanations?

That's just smart business. Get the DVD out there while excitement is high and the product is hot.

Agreed, I don't think any Cyclones would give KU any sympathy.

K-State is the **** the feeds on the mucus that feeds on the pond scum. Overhyped this season and they get a win. Whoop-dee-do. I bet KU is left standing long after K-State is when it comes the postseason.

Not only does K-State get off on beating KU - they really get up over peeing in towels.
