How do you figure? Mizzou has the most big 12 north wins out of all the schools that could potentially tie for 8-8(mizzou, colorado/nebraska, baylor) so I assume we will be playing Missouri unless we pull off the upset against KSU AND Missouri beats Kansas...then we would be playing KSU at the #5 seed.

If CU beats NU to finish 8-8, and MU loses to KU to finish 8-8, both MU and CU will be 5-5 against the North. The next tiebreaker is to go down the North rankings. Both were 0-2 against Kansas. But CU was 2-0 against KSU (2nd in the North), while Mizzou was 1-1 against KSU. So If CU and KU win tomorrow (both will be 2-5 point favorites), CU will have the tiebreaker over Mizzou.

If Baylor also wins, when CU wins and MU lose, you get a 3-way - all three at 8-8 - tiebreaker that's a triangle --- Baylor over CU; CU over Mizzou; Mizzou over Baylor --- and the wording is ambiguous on how it would play out. It would be interesting, but Mizzou wouldn't be the #5 in that situation; It would be Baylor or CU - The way I read it, it would be Baylor, but I could also read it where you could interpret it to be CU.

So from what I get there are two games that really will decied what happens. BU/UT, and CU/NU. We could play Colorado, Missouri or Baylor depending on the outcome of these two games.

The most likely situation would be we play Missouri because of the following.

UT wins, CU wins = we play Colorado
UT wins, NU wins = we play Missouri
BU wins, CU wins = we play Baylor
BU wins, NU wins = we play Missouri

Keep in mind that if Missouri wins, we play KState or Missouri regardless of the above.

If Mizzou wins and ISU beats KSU, KSU drops to 5. So there's really 4 games that matter for that 5-seed.

Someone should probably merge this thread with this one - http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/...ey-5-seed.html (Big XII Tourney 5 Seed)

See post #5 and #6 in that thread for a pretty good breakdown.

I think KU lose @ Missouri. MU is undefeated at home and they are scary good at home.

Not sure if KU can slow down MU's fast pace offense.
