I have to work in 8 hours, but i just poured myself a drink to celebrate Missouri's ineptitude.

    Re: Haith to Missouri

Check out this post from Tigerboard from a Hurricane fan. One of the Tiger responses was 'thanks I'm gonna go blow my brains out'. Hahahah. But so true. I LOVE this hire for ISU. Now I hope Miami steals Martin from KSU.

Miami basketball has had to endure Frank Haith for 7 long years. He has proven to be a horrible X's and O's coach.

Haith never recruited a point guard to Miami in 7 years so we played schoolyard type ball. Lots of turnovers, couldn't beat the press, couldn't dish off, couldn't penetrate effectively.

Outside of point guard, he has brought in some decent talent but most have underperformed really because Haith never put them in a position to succeed.

The guy came to Miami from Barnes' staff in Texas as a stellar recruiter. However, Miami never got a sniff of any of the nation's elite talent despite Haith' recruiting rep. His ability as a game day and fundamentals coach have been nothing but putrid.

Miami is without an AD right now but figured the new AD would fire Haith. Miami fans have been begging for Haith's firing for going on two years. Never in a million years did I think that a major conference school would hire Frank Haith. I would have thought he'd have a tough time getting a mid-major job.

Whatever your AD is thinking, he's crazy. Nuts. This is a horrible hire for you guys. Your program has historically been stellar with high expectations. You have just settled for the worst of the worst. Honestly, your AD should be fired for this horrid selection. But as a Miami fan, I'm glad he's gone.

So, it sounds like Miami and Mizzou are like Iowa State and Creighton, in terms of basketball coaches leaving.

Ha. Missouri, you are pathetic. Not that we didn't already know that. This hire is amazing. Even better than Alford. The only thing that could make it better is Martin to Miami.

I'd be calling for Alden's head right about now if I were a Miz fan.

Twitter and Tigerboard are amazing right now. I wish I didn't have class at 8 tomorrow so I could stay up longer to keep reading this stuff.

    Re: Haith to Missouri

I hope Frank Martin doesn't go to Miami. The Big 12 only has a couple good coaches left.

    Bill Self
    Frank Martin
    Mark Turgeon

Rick Barnes and Scott Drew are great recruiters (which is part of coaching), but they're average/bad at actual coaching. Lon Kruger might be good, I don't know much about him. Gillispie hasn't done anything without Acie Law. OSU doesn't like Ford, and he isn't the best. Mizzou new coach seems like a bad hire. Fred Hoiberg is unproven. As much as I like seeing the other teams struggle, the Big 12 still needs to be respectable.

    Re: Haith to Missouri

I'll wait to make fun of MU. Last time I laughed at a school hiring a coach with a questionable record and experience at a big time school, the ***** went on and won the national title a couple years later. (Hope you don't make me say his name, 5-19) I'll lightly smirk now, but hold judgement til later.,
That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?

If Missouri has really hired Frank Haith, Mike Alden better have the Explanation of the Century.
