The Big 12 Does NOT Provide So...
Maybe you know this, but Kansas and Kansas State compete in Conference USA in rowing.
Re: The Big 12 Does NOT Provide So...
No rowing?! DISBAND THE LEAGUE! Big 12 sucks! Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.
Re: The Big 12 Does NOT Provide So...
Yesterday, I turned to ESPN and they had the Women's NCAA national championship in bowling on TV. Yes....I said bowling.
It was Vanderbilt vs. UMES (which I assumed as Maryland Eastern Shore).
Who knew there was a national championship in Women's Bowling?

Seems like it would be a cheap womens sport to have for title IX considerations

The fact that everything you said is accurate illustrates how much is wrong with that law.
Re: The Big 12 Does NOT Provide So...
I'm not going to feel bad about KU and KSU women's rowing until you can tell me what conference the men's rowing teams from those schools competes in.

Except the checked baggage fee for all those bowling balls is a killer to the athletics budget for those schools. Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas.

If I were the AD, I would mandate they take them as carry-ons.

Just last month, the Big 10 announced they will finally be able to support hockey as a conference sport, starting in 2013. Currently, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State compete in the CCHA, while Minnesota, and Wisconsin compete in the WCHA. By this logic, the Big 10 didn't provide for their conference until they started making a ****-ton of $$$.

They are at a competitive disadvantage...

I hope you all understand that this would allow ISU to join another conference in Wrestling. That could be huge for getting into the NCCA's.

That's what I was thinking, although it seems they aren't ready to do that yet from the threads on here. I do hope wrestling is supported somehow.
