I realize this is women's golf, I realize it is day one, but how can you not be excited that a cyclone team is going into a Big 12 conference championship in the top seed and is currently in 1st place?

They have fallen back to +3 on the day while thru holes 8-10; back to being tied for 3rd place...

Definitely exciting to see an ISU team in the battle for a Big 12 Championship regardless of the sport!!

Texas is not doing well at all. +9 for the day is currently in 10th place. They are the second highest ranked team in the tournament.

Don't sweat Mizzou.... looks like they all started on the back 9 and the scores have been a bit lower back there.

Not too worried about Missouri because it is a home event for them. It's not unussal to see a strong start from the home team, but I'm sure we are going to see them fall off quickly.

I'm more worried about our performance. We are just not doing well right now.

A couple of bad holes as of late, we are now tied for 8th with a +8 score... That puts us 5 strokes behind the leaders of Nebraska/Mizzou.

Well after a tough day 1, ISU has now moved in sole possession of 1st place at +6.

Way to go Cyclones! Only a day and a half left to go and the title is yours.

Texas has grabbed the lead in team competition through two rounds with a score of 7-over par 583. The Longhorns lead second-place Iowa State by two strokes.

The good thing is that ISU had the best day of all teams. In fact Texas was the only other team to be under par for the day (at 1 under) and ISU was 3 under.
