I don't see this as odd. Afterall, it is Texas' network. It isn't any differrent than the homers that the big ten has on its channel
Oh you mean the hacks who in the preseason last year pumped Iowa's D-line up as practically comparable to the Steel Curtain or Doomsday defenses of the 70's? Yeah that same D-line to that got pushed off the ball late in the game to blow leads five times (almost six at Indiana) last year
ESPN is required to carry at least 200 Longhorn athletic events a year on the network. If UT decides not to participate in an athletic conference in one or more sports, ESPN would have 60 days to forge an exclusive deal for those television rights and after that period would have 48 hours to match the terms of any competing offer.
