Thus these teams are in turn penalized by losing a game that never should have counted in the first place. Total BS in my opinion. Oklahoma got their *** handed to them. They don't deserve jack.

GOOD GOD NO!! Nobody that loses 55-19 (i think that was the score) deserves the national title. Its going to have to go to nobody.

Not to mention the violations that USC was guilty of that year had ZERO bearing on that game. Bush was already a Trojan when he took those benefits and even if he didn't play in that game USC wins by 30. The one thing missing in your story is this... there is absolutely no proof that AP did any of that. Bush on the other hand... there is plenty of it. Using an ineligible player is using and ineligible player.

We need this for 04 Auburn, OU, Utah, Boise. Forget the BCS crap, this is perfect for a 4 team playoff.

Was 2004 the year Utah went 13-0 and beat everyone by two touchdowns or more? I would say they deserve it even though its just going to be vacated.

Tubberville says Auburn should get it.

Re: USC stripped of '04 BCS title. Should Oklahoma get it?
In my opinion, this is only the beginning. I am going to predict that about 5 years down the road that Cam Newton knew all along that money was being passed around for his services and that Aurburn loses their NC.
Then we are going to start running into other teams that have not won NC's but have won bowl games such as Ohio State beating Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl last year. The BCS will come down and say that game will not count b/c of all the turmoil going on in Columbus currently and that the 5 players really should have been suspended and were taking money, tats, cars, etc... to play.
Where is it going to stop? I agree that all top teams in the NCAA cheat one way or another. So, the question is not who is cheating but who gets caught.
