Its not a big atmosphere but it has come a long way in the past couple years. Plenty of space around FCS but its not any hotbed of tailgating by any stretch.

Re: tailgating at Baylor
Baylor fans say it's changed, but here are some pics from the time I went.
This is the premier Baylor donor lot about 3 hrs before kick off.
Same lot about 1.5 hrs before kick off.
This is where we parked, which was just on the NE side of Floyd-Casey. It's a public lot right next to the stadium. All the people in that picture are ISU fans. All the ISU fans we met down there were great. There were a few cars, but no one tailgating at them. There were maybe 5 Baylor tailgates in that lot and it was usually just a couple of frat boys in polo shirts and slacks standing by a pick up drinking beer.
It's easy to get in and out of, and there are plenty of kybos, but it's just a god awful atmosphere.
Don't buy tickets in advance, they never sell out. We wasted a ton of $ on tickets.
EDIT: looks like isuaggie did all my work.

EDIT: looks like isuaggie did all my work. Was that 08 or 04? Either way its not remotely that bad right now. Admin has put a lot of effort into improving it and it shows. Most of the tailgate area is essentially behind the end zone with the video board.

Looks like we were taking those pics where they're trying to center the tailgating now?
Baylor needs an on or near campus stadium. Floyd Casey isn't a bad facility itself, but the neighborhood it's in sucks and doesn't lend itself to a good football scene AT ALL.

There are tons of people well before the game and its a big improvement that is not where it needs to be yet. Originally Posted by Al_4_State Baylor needs an on or near campus stadium. This is rumored to be in the works and should be coming towards the middle of the decade. Its a shame its so far from campus. Campus is very beautiful.

We parked in the grass outside the NE side of the stadium. Right outside the side opposite the press box. The area behind the videoboard was supposedly donor parking (or so I thought).

I don't blame you for the impression you have.
If any of you clone fans are coming to Waco this year, the main tailgating areas are in blue here. Best odds of hanging out are behind the video board at the top of this map. Baylor Bears Official Athletic Site - BaylorBears.com - Marketing and Promotions
George's (old timer bar in Waco) sponsors a tent nearby that many go to. I tailgate with family & friends in the area behind the video board and we used to have the smaller setup at creekside which is a quieter deal.

Yeah, we parked in the public tailgating between Ross and Cleveland, but at that time there weren't any roads past 29th. It was just a grass lot with some driveways. Convenient anyways.
The empty pics we took, were, I think, in the green lot. I remember that Snickers kid zone thing for sure.
