Throwing a hissy fit and swearing at a guy because he's wearing an Oklahoma baseball t-shirt that he offered to turn inside out and not accepting his apology? Classy move there Gundy. Damn, I shudder to think about what happens when the milk gets spilled in that house.

Might want to think about switching to decaf there Mike.
I think Gundy has some control issues, unresolved. What a fool.

Also couldn't Gundy just have given an OSU shirt to the guy? I bet he had several laying around that he could have done this with.

Re: Mike "I'm Man" Gundy fires construction worker

This is stupid. I've done some landscaping at people's house who have gone to Iowa and wore ISU stuff, but they joked about it with me. I guess it wasn't the football coaches house, but still. If it were millions I could see where it gets out of hand, but for that much I can see the contractor's point of view.

You're telling me that dude didn't know EXACTLY what he was doing? He was clearly trying to rile up a client. Sometimes you learn the hard way to not be an *** hole.

    Kudos to Gundy.

I dunno, if he pays the guy what the guy lost in damages (which I think is legit), can't really blame him for defending his school like that. OSU fans should be proud that their coach is that amped about the team.

If I was the HC @ Iowa State and some guy showed up in Hawkeye gear I'd do the same thing.

Al is correct. This guy knew exactly what he was doing and Gundy put him in his place. Gundy is paying this guy for his services. Show some friggin respect. I wouldn't dare show up to Ferentz house with any ISU gear.

Exactly. I might hate the Hawkeyes, but I'm not an idiot. If Ferentz hired me to come work on his home, I wouldn't be rocking any ISU gear. Now if the guy had an OU license plate or something, that would be different.

    Re: Gundy over the Top...?

Gundy was hiring him, depending upon what kind of contract they signed for the work Gundy could have fired the contractor for whatever reason he wanted. The contractor either knew what he was doing and wanted to get a reaction, or he is just plain stupid; either way I could have easily seen the guy getting fired.

http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/...on-worker.html (Mike "I'm Man" Gundy fires construction worker)

I'd be very, very sad if CPR reacted this way to somebody wearing a Hawkeye shirt. Can you imagine the negative publicity for ISU? Of course, I doubt that would happen, because CPR seems to be a rather classy guy.

Give the guy an OSU shirt and move on. He pobably could have even turned it into a positive PR event. Instead, he further antagonizes most of the fans in the state who already have a rather low view of OSU.

    Really bad move by Gundy.
