To summarize the post meeting comments.

No comment when asked if goal is to join SEC.

Not about whats wrong with Big 12 but whats right for aTm.

Anything they do is in best interest of aTm, State of Texas.

Also expressed concern about other B12 members.

Money is important and this is a 100 year decision.

B12 Bylaws are confusing and want to be clear on all things before moving ahead.

Says there is a chance aTm could stay in B12.

A couple things.

First, if conversations with TAMU and Slive have been going on since the Cotton Bowl, is this an admission of breach of contract with the Big 12? "Spoke to Slive at the Cotton Bowl...then again July 21 after board mtg." -- Loftin
I am not a lawyer, nor pretend to be, but this seems like at the least a little shady.

Second, if a goal is to continue the Texas rivalry at Thanksgiving, couldn't Texas say only if you are still part of the Big 12 will this remain. "If A&M negotiates an exit, ability to continue a UT rivalry game on Thanksgiving would be a big part of the discussions." Sidenote. if TAMU did bounce to the SEC, it would be funny if UT put this game on the LHN.

Lastly, the last part of statement was such an insult to everyone's intelligence. "Anything we do will be in the best interest of TAMU, State of TX. Also concerned about other B12" members. Fact, the are concerned with TAMU and are butthurt about being UTs little bro. period.

Just my take.

I just hope the rest of the texas teams tell A&M to **** off and never play them again.

Yeah I'm sure it is pretty low on the list. But what happens if what comes out of this is a more equitable B12 arrangement with aTm staying and Texas giving some concessions. Will aTm still be looked at as the villain?

Exactly. Win, lose, or draw I like the Iowa State vs. Iowa game. I like the rivalry, like the passion, like the buildup, etc....

I would be pretty disappointed if that series were to end. I would think there are a lot of A&M fans that would feel the same way about their series with Texas getting killed off.

That is a big if....

IF it were to happen, I would probably acknowledge the outcome, but not the means they went about it.

I would love to discontinue the squak game and schedule a home game every year in their place. There would be no loss of revenue and their dumb*** ignorant fans would not soil the soil of JT.
