ISU needs to get moving
Now kansas has their own network airing their first game. Why are we yet again, lagging behind on this? Pump up clonzone or something, no reason the 1st game shouldn't be televised locally. KU will show football season-opener exclusively on online network - KansasCity.com Originally Posted by AltHawk Why would it? One bad game doesn't change a thing. Re: ISU needs to get moving
Their "network" = CloneZone
Edit: Senolcyc makes a good point. It's online streaming like we already have. Nothing revolutionary.

Re: ISU needs to get moving
I emailed an ISUAA person this morning asking about where (and if) the UNI game will be televised so I could plan a gamewatch just in case. She said the following:
Nothing has been released at this point (you know they work at a snail’s pace around here!) but I did just learn that we should be seeing a press release or hearing more about media coverage, etc. on Monday. So, as soon as I hear something on Monday, I will be sure to pass it along to you ASAP
So if there is such news, expect it on Monday. I would guess there's an equal chance of it being on CloneZone or ESPN3.

Boom.....transfer the karma -

Yup. If Clone Zone looked like these KSU and KU "Networks", I'd pick up a subscription.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -
Re: ISU needs to get moving
I agree with the falures of the Clone Zone, I had it for a year and it absolutely stunk. I couldn't get a feed half the time, and when I did the quality was horrible. I would think that the Clone Zone would be a great teaching opportunity for media students, who could run parts of it for credit.

Re: ISU needs to get moving
ISU was ahead of most of the schools when it comes to Clonezone, now the rules have become a little clearer and expect advancements/improvements soon.

We should look at getting more games on The Ocho! -

Internet connection/speed problems?

I always buy a subscription for the month that they have a football game streaming, but as other people have said; the quality is pretty suspect.
And I know ISU can't stream all their football games, but are the rules for basketball different? Living out of state, having access to the basketball games on ESPN3 last year was a lifesaver. If CloneZone could stream more live games, I'd sign up immediately.

That's pretty much EXACTLY what Clone Zone offers. Calling it a "network" is just bogus marketing. One outlet doesn't equal a "network."

It took them five years to get Clone Zone to work at a borderline satisfactory level. Let's not lose our heads here!

Usually it's just the non-con home games against Nondescript Directional State. Road games and off-site tournaments will be a different story. But ESPN3 will have all of the conference games, which will be nice this year since we get 2 more conference games on our schedule.

B-ball games are huge and even look ok when I plug my computer in to my TV. Audio for football games is a positive as well.
If we start calling it "Clone Zone Network" will everyone relax?
