I'm not completely sold on Oky State and A&M. Not that I don't think they're talented, but for whatever reason, Oky State has underachieved some when they have a lot of hype. Kind of like Iowa in that regard. A&M has just underachieved in general for the past 10 years.

Don't agree at all here. I'd put Wisconsin above them.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Re: Nebraska would likely finish 5th or 6th in the big 12 this season.

saying Nebraska would likely be 5th or 6th in the big 12 is just wrong. They are only ranked a couple of spots behind Oklahoma State and A&M in the preseason polls which would put them at 4th place in the big 12 in preseason. And a few spots in the rankings doesnt mean it is likely that they finish ahead of them. I think it would be OU the clear favorite and then NU, OKstate and A&M finishing 2-4 in no particular order.

I also think that people are writing of Ohio State too quickly. True they lost Pryor for the year and a good running back for the first few games, but they were going to lose Pryor next year and they are still loaded with talent so the QB doesn't have to be spectacular for them to win, they just have to manage the game.

Didn't Nebraska win @ok state last year like 52-41? I might have that reversed. But either way, if the game was in Lincoln this yr they would probably win

Osu and wisc are clearly better than neb. Iowa, mich, and mich st are about equal to neb. Id put them at 4th or 5th place in the big 10, b/c they don't mind underachieving.

I'm not a NU supporter, I'm just a knowledgeable college football fan. There's no way they'd finish as you predicted in the Big 12 this year.

    maybe nebraska?

    I agree,
Nebraska would be the 6th best team,
and if there QB went down to injury,
Kansas State and Iowa State finish abiove Nebraska.

What if Nebby finishes 5th in the B10? I'm not convinced that they will fare that well.

The real dilemna is having Hawkeye fans at my house for Thanksgiving which is out of state, do I say "Sorry I don't get that channel" or "gee, Go Hawks" or hey, maybe there is a better game on? All optons seem not good, I really want them to come but I can't see any chance enjoying this new hype of watching two vastly hated teams

The game is the day AFTER Thanksgiving, so it shouldn't be a problem if they're just coming over for Thanksgiving.
