Pitt to the ACC
Just reported on ESPN. That gives them 13...... until FSU goes to the SEC.
I wish there was a conference cap at 12. Any more seems dumb.

Re: Pitt to the ACC
I just hope we don't end up in the same conference as Uconn. They just seem busch league. Not the players, the atmosphere and ****** fans and no lights.

Re: Pitt to the ACC
Big 10 isn't expanding. Pitt flirting with ACC as proof. MU talking SEC is similar. Both schools would rather be B1G, but know no more bids will be forthcoming.
Big East falls apart before Big 12?

Apparently ACC is taking the proactive approach (or, if FSU-to-SEC comes to pass, at least treading water).
If B1G expansion to 16 is ever going to happen, Pitt going to ACC actually encourages me about the slender chance of ISU ever getting picked ... Pitt seems to be a natural option, unless the Notre Dame/Syracuse/Boston College routes were feasible.

Re: Pitt to the ACC
if those 2 leave it could open up spots for ISU and Baylor...

Re: Pitt to the ACC
This is actually not that bad.
OU & OSU to Pac
Pitt and 'Cuse to ACC
TAMU and Mizzou to SEC
UT and ND to B1G?
Leaving KU/KSU/ISU/BU and a few others (ECU? UCF? Houston?) to Big East
Where you had 6 BCS conferences of varying size before, you'd now have 5 each with 14 teams.

Re: Pitt to the ACC
I wouldn't mind going to the Big East is the big 12 dissipates. They are classless ******** but our BBAll team would be playing high caliber opponents and I think our football team could compete regularly for a Big east Championship game.

If I had to bet all my credits I would say this would happen. Big East seems like the best and only option.

Re: Pitt to the ACC
Time for the Big 12 to sweep in and grab TCU, Louisville, and maybe WV. If UT and OU can come to a freaking agreement already.
