    22-2

Well if the Big 12 is going to break up, might as well go out as the best conference in the country.

Leave it up to Kansas and Missouri to not pull their weight.

This is what I dont understand about all the Big12 distruction...starting with Nebraska and Colorado last year....Our conference is good!!! Unfortunetly it hasnt nothing to do with that and a great conference is likely going to be destroyed.

I agree. I guess actual good football has very little influence on conference realignment and the power hungry commissioners of the Pac 10, Big 10 and SEC.

small amount of TV sets. That is what it boils down too.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Re: 22-2

Everything has to do with television revenue. We Iowa State fans have no options on this. There isn't jack **** in this region for t.v. revenue. We have the Omaha region which is Husker country. We have the Kansas City region which is KU and KSU country.
We here in Ames have nothing! I say hit the BIG EAST and run from there. We could kick *** in football and be very competitive in basketball.

    Re: 22-2

If the Big East has Baylor and TCU, that could work out ok for us as we'd at least maintain a Texas connection. Of course if the Texas schools join the SEC and Pac 16, almost everybody will have a Texas connection. Travelling would also be he!!. We need the Big 12 to get to 12 or 16.

    23-2

23-2 now after Oklahoma St.'s late night win. Probably looking at something around 27-3 for the Big 12 in non-conference.

Didn't really mean for this to be about realignment directly. Just a positive nugget about the conference.

    Re: 22-2

To put things in perspectiive, every other conference has at least one team with two losses. The PAC 12 for example has four teams with two losses, the sec has three teams. . .

maybe.. just maybe such a good start for the conference in general might sway Oklahoma somewhat into deciding to stay? I doubt it would play a very big factor but you never know

Nope i doubt it. Also Big12 has 8 ranked in top 30.
I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

    24-2

24-2 now in non-conference for the Big 12 after the KState win at Miami. Likely looking at 26-2 after today.

    That's just a ridiculous record.

Baylor is out to a quick 21-0 lead over Rice, but Texas Tech is struggling with Nevada (still 0-0 at end of 1st) & Nevada may very well put up the first score here.

Did I miss something? Is the Big 12 going to be destroyed or survive? Now we want to go to the Big East which earlier in the week some were saying how idiotic we looked as we were putting feelers out to join the imploding Big East.

Maybe the healing needs to start within our fanbase and all get on the same page. I know we have been kicked in the nuts over and over again, but we have a lot of positive things going on around us and all we can do is think of the negative.

Come on Clones, unite and stay positive.

Ok now you can all bash me, but hey at least it will bring you all closer!
