Re: Hybrid League - the leftovers
Jesus. No.
Missouri or West Virginia will be in the SEC.
We would likely end up partnering with some of the large Florida schools, ECU, BYU, and TCU before most of the schools on that list.

Miami University
Toledo South: Baylor
Houston
Marshall
Missouri
South Florida
Southern Methodist
West Virginia 1. West Virginia is gone
2. What happened to TCU?
3. No way do you EVER go for Miami (OH), Toledo, or Marshall
4. Go instead for schools like Central Florida, BYU, East Carolina, Colorado State, Boise St, San Diego St, UNLV, Air Force, New Mexico, or Army/Navy before them.

Just trying to have a conference make any sort of sense geographically. I'm not sure a conference that covers all timezones would be viable.

The whole Geography of the realignment is what I'm having a tough time with.
This list below would only be for football obviously
I would like a "Northern" Division to be
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State
Missouri
Cincinnati
Louisville
"Southern" Division
Memphis
TCU
Baylor
SMU
South Florida
Central Florida

Boise State was #5 and after 10 years of "underdog" status and a love fest from ESPN they now have a national following. What would you expect? I guarantee they had 10x better ratings than the UConn/ISU game.

A new realignment thread...great idea!!! "I'm proud to lead this program and this team in whatever we do. Whether it's a community service project, or through practice or winning a bowl game, but you don't do that without the kids believing and being all in, and going out there and accomplishing all [of] the goals and expectations that we set." - Coach Paul Rhoads -

This is why I say Memphis should be included despite having one of the worst football programs in the country FedEx CEO could provide millions if BCS-affiliated league takes Memphis - CBSSports.com -

If I were a gambling man, I'd bet two G's that Iowa State would never vote to accept Louisville into the Big 12. Not ISU's decision alone of course.

This is about the survival of our athletic department. Why would we care about Louisville's academic rankings when we've partnered with Texas Tech and K-State in the past?

Re: Add Louisville now with Big East imploding
I think if the Pac takes four of ours, BYU would be begging to get in somewhere. I think if the doomsday things happen that people like to talk about, the forgotten five would be the leaders (with the framing of the Big 12) to pull the "also rans" together. Not saying this is great, but I think we could be a little picky.
