Is there any legal blowback from the SEC if A&M has to stay?
No, only the opposite. Big 12 can sue the SEC and A&M.

Each school in Texas has their own BOR.

OK, Makes sense. But the politicians could pressure them couldn't they?
Also, does anyone else think Rick Perry running for president has any affect on A&M's decision to leave?

Not likely. Texas legislature does not meet again until Jan. 2013 and can only be called into a special session by the Governor. They cannot call themselves into special session in Texas. A&M is GONE!

what an awesome concept a BOR that's primary concern is that University.
Re: Any way A&M can stay?
I think that they COULD stay if UT gives in on the LHN, but I doubt it happens. I'd be MORE than happy if everyone else stays and they get BYU.
