So they are saying they aren't going to the PAC right now, maybe next year. This stuff will go on forever. I think the PAC backed down because Texas didn't want to go.

I think the PAC12 realized they were being used like a pawn in the OU vs TX struggle. OU didn't really want to leave. But they would have if needed. They need a legitamate threat to make UT and Beebe concede to demands. The PAC offered the best option as a threat.

OU and Tx worked it out, and Pac 12 wanted to look better by issuing statement first. Can't find link I read yesterday, but among OU demands is a much heftier buy out to get out of the conference.

There needs to be major changes in the teams commitments to the league. This crap can not go on every year. Major exit fees, 24 month notice, etc. If some stabilty can't be formed, let it explode now and get it over with.

Yeah this isn't over unless the Big 12 can get their you know what together and play nice with each other. There are still options and will always be options, but what I can't figure out is we had/have a pretty good TV package coming up and it was skewed more towards OU and Texas. They wouldn't get that in any other conference.

All the other conferences want equal revenue sharing. I sure hope the egos can be pushed aside and do what's best for the Big 12 as it can be one of the tope conferences year in and year out.

That didn't sound very settled. However, it's most likely OU trying to posture for more negotiations with UT.

Unless those exit fees are 50 million dollars it won't mean a thing and lets make that notice 48 months.....

If the powers that be aka TU and OU wont go for those kinds of reform then both TU and OU should go else where and their claims of Conference Stability is just Empty Rhetoric!!!!!!!!!!!!
