Re: Louisville
When I look at the map and Nate Silver's fan survey, I can make a case that the best expansion scenario for the Big 12 would be to bring in Louisville and West Virginia, which should be fairly easy to sell, and then make a hard run at Arkansas. Highest probability of success in adding three teams. And the result is a geographically contiguous, consequential conference across a broad rang of sports.

While it would be great to see Arkansas in the Big 12, I think they would be absolutely crazy to leave the SEC. I consider it about as likely as Wisconsin coming to the Big 12.

Re: Louisville
I think we use A&M money to allow BE schools to get out and play in the B12 in 2012. We will have 20-25 million. I'm guessing the B12 schools will ok using that money to get school's in next year. Louisville has deep pockets as well.

Re: Louisville
I know BYU is a popular one, but if we are going to add Louisville and West Virginia, I would rather add someone else for the east coast like South Florida. South Florida would open up some more recruiting into Florida and bring in some rich TV markets. It is also a very up and coming team. I have to admit though, I don't know how they compare in academics.
