Missouri has gone from one of my favorite teams in the Big 12 to one I will cheer against every time they play (like Nebraska).

I'd hate to be Colorado. What if you left the conference you've been in for decades and NOBODY cared? Nobody fought to keep you, nobody called you greedy, ungrateful, irrational, emotional attention-whores. Nobody made you their least favorite team for abandoning your traditions, your region, etc.
You just...left. And you joined a conference that keeps flirting with your old conference partners.
By most measures, CU had been more successful (at least in the in the B12) than Missouri. Yet we get scorn, and they get...nothing.
THAT would really suck.

Re: Dear Missouri....
Dear Missouri,
Obviously the SEC wants someone else more or they would have already invited you.
You currently look like the ugly, drunk chick at the part throwing herself at all the hot guys. I'm guessing you are OK with being someone's second (or fifteenth) choice. But, you are embarassing yourself and the rest of the conference.
Please get some self respect. If the SEC spurns you like the Big 10 did do you plan on hitting on the Pac 12 or ACC?

More references to chicks, marriage, and dating. Not only are they original, but these metaphors accurately capture the dynamics between several different bureaucratic organizations on a multi-million dollar, multi-year business agreement.
Fire Jamie Pollard! Hire Chuck Woolery!
I'll take any odds that we're announced to the SEC by Xmas. But if not, you're right. ACC, Pac-12, WVU's spot in the Big Least, junior-junior membership in the B1G, the MAC, WAC, and Pacific Coast Conference, the Missouri Valley, the Patriot League, we'll hit on all of 'em. We want out.
The Big 12 is not a good fit for us anymore.

The Big 12 is not a good fit for us anymore because they don't like us enough. And now that the SEC has mentioned us the BIG isn't a good fit either. And if the SEC spurns us, they won't be either. FIFY.

The Big 12 is not a good fit for us anymore. Please expound on why it's "not a good fit for us anymore."

The Big 12 is not a good fit for us anymore. Why is the SEC a better fit?
The B12 is better fit geographically and for recruiting. You have complained about being slighted by the powers that be in B12 but in reality if you look at the haves and have nots then MU has been in the middle. Which is probably going to be the case in the SEC as well.
SEC has been more stable and offers more money. So if that is what you mean by a better fit then fine. The stability issue is a case of a self fulfilling prophecy routinely spouted by the schools who are leaving. If stability was really an issue for schools then why are other schools wanting to join? The real reason is because of the money.
I'm not going to bang on MU to leave for more money but because every school would leave for more money. But don't **** down our backs and tell us its raining by spouting off and saying UT this and OU that. The only reason MU is in this position is because SEC wants MU's TV market. Good for you I'd be lying if I didn't wish ISU had that inherent advantage. But MU fan's hjgh and mighty attitude is a farce when you look the real reasons that this is all happening.
Go to the SEC, live long and prosper, but in the end realize you are where you are at because you have TV sets not because of something exceptional that MU did or because the SEC really likes you but you are just another piece for them to assimilate and could care less about any negative impact to MU just as long as they benefit from your TV market.

Re: Dear Missouri....
Misery is like that party slut that openly throws herself to everybody, but everybody is just standing around waiting to take her home once they realize nobody else is available. They've already been turned down by the best looking guy there (Big Ten), the second best looking person (SEC) is thinking about it, but is still looking for somebody just a little bit hotter, but time is running out. The party slut's current boyfriend (Big 12) is fed up with her annoying attitude and has already found a much better looking replacement (WVU). But, they don't want to be mean and kick MIZ to the curb, so they are hoping the SEC just takes them and the Big 12 can hook up with much better looking ladies.
When Prepared, Fear No One.
