Hope you are wrong my friend. TV has made strange bedfellows to eveyone.......and we aren't too bad. Trust me, you could do a lot worse. :wideeyed:
Welcome Rockman-Would love to make a road trip to WVU so hope it all works out. We also went thru central and southern Oregon last summer. The Cascades, Crater Lake, and Wilamette (sp) River valley areas have some of the best scenery in the country. The Bonneville Damn with the spawning salmon and trout moving up the damn was also well worth it. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the sights in that beautiful state.
Oh no the Whites.....LOL Who every said bad publicity is better than no publicity just flat got it wrong. LOL You know I thought the same same thing as we need each other. I hope WVU can and will be good loyal conference mates and we can help make things a little more stable. Going to 12 teams would help do this but that is out of my pay grade.
I'd love to have WV join us. What airport do you fly in to get to a game in Morgantown? How far a drive from closest main airport?
I've not been to WV, but in Jim Lehrer's book, "Purple Dots," (about a retired CIA agent), the opening setting is Harpers Ferry, WV, the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. The book narrative says it may be the most beautiful spot in North America. Would love to see it.
How much weed are you growing currently Rockman?
Always thought it was pretty cool driving in the area where the Confederacy worked their way into enemy territory.
None, but I think there is a semi legal medical pot plantation down the road a couple miles. Saw the most in Nebraska. I remember going across the Calamus River to one of our drill rigs and blundered into the local harvest........folks were really scattering. :wideeyed:
Rockman... I've always been in favor of adding West Virginia and would welcome your school and fans with open arms in the Big 12. However, I attended the Fiesta Bowl a few years back (the one where you rolled Oklahoma) and noticed your very long, dragged out, first down chants.
At Iowa State, we occasionally like to give up 35-40 first downs. Will your fan base be able to commit to doing that chant so many times in one game?
I smell a budding rivalry - Hicks vs. Hillbillies, coming soon to Ames and Morgantown!
We were there also. I think OU's offensive tackle is still chasing and holding Johnny Dingle. LOL No problem this year as we lost 7 guys off the defense and 4 are in the NFL. We drove cross country and left Phoenix the next am and when we hit the Ramada Inn at Bakersfield, CA and was really confused when ESPN reported the interim(special teams) coach who held the team together was the new head coach. It is now common knowledge that this was done in a drunken euphoria by the former AD, prez and governor. Even though we have been 9-4 the last 3 years, the lack of quality players is showing.
If things work out and I hear they will. Bevo gets his way. LOL I for one am looking forward to Wrestling in a couple weeks. I know you guys are world class and we will get schooled but if you play the best, you should get better.
