I'm loving these threads with the great team names like Sand Aggies and Purple Kansas.

I'm thinking maybe most of them came for Shaggybevo?

Anyway, do we want official names or is it more fun to just keep making up new/different ones each time a thread is posted?

Based on what I've observed:

TTech: Sand Aggies
Okie: Land Thieves
OSU: Okie Lite or Orange Okie
KSU: Purple Kansas

Haven't seen much on TCU
Saw a recent post on WVU, "Mountain Folk". Maybe we can do better

Haven't seen anything on Texas; I like "Hamburgers"

Don't remember any for KU

We could also throw in some ideas for EIU, maybe "Skeletal Parrotheads". That's pretty lame but maybe will get somebody's thought jumpstarted.

I think Kansas should just be left alone. They're not worthy of the creativity it would take to come up with a nickname at this point.

sips is short for Tea Sips. Aggies have this huge thing about being military academy-esque and insinuated that during whatever war, Aggies went to fight and kids who went to UT stayed home sipping tea. Also, Texas thinks of themselves as a pretty "upper crust" university, so it is also said sometimes that they "sip their tea with their pinkies out" and the like.
